Last week, Historic House Island staff was pleased to welcome ashore the public relations agency and team for Mercedes Benz with additional members of the press.
Day one of our #MBPressDrive with the all-new C300 Coupe ends with dinner on House Island, a private island off the coast of Portland, Maine, famous for an authentic Civil War fort on its grounds. As our hungry journalist guests will soon find out, House Island is also famous for its Lobster Bake. #MercedesBenz #instacar #c300 #coupe #portland #maine #mercedes #benz #cclass
Along with OSK Marketing and Communications, Dandelion Catering, Casco Bay Lines, Portland Express Water Taxi, and Snell Family Farm, we opened the doors of Cappy’s Lodge in Portland, Maine to over 50 reporters, writers, bloggers and photographers to recap a day experiencing the brand new Mercedes Benz C300. The stylish coupe hit the streets of Portland on a scenic 75° Maine spring day. During the evening, guests enjoyed crafted food (including lobster rolls) from local vendor Dandelion Catering.
Representatives from Mercedes Benz focused on Portland’s beauty, winding roads, scenic backdrops, beautiful spring weather, vibrant restaurant scene, and unique vibes as a crucial component for enticing reporters to travel to coastal Maine. House Island provided a special, yet accessible means of family style dinner where reporters could relax and take in Maine’s scenic beauty. Our partnership with Casco Bay Lines made travel to and from our private island easy and affordable. We were able to bring one of the brand new C300 Mercedes Benz’s over on by barge to display for reporters.
